I am looking for a good Whole Wheat or White Bread recipe. I dont have a Bosch machine and my kitchenaid has a hard time with the dough so I have to make the bread by hand.
If you have a good recipe and or some good tips and would love to share it with me I would be so very Grateful!

Number Of Servings: 16 slices Preparation Time: 15-20 minutes prep/45-50 minutes bake time
Description:
If you need bread and don't have time to wait for it to rise--try this recipe!
Ingredients:
2 1/2 Cups whole wheat flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup molasses
1/4 cup oil
2/3 cup plain yogurt
Directions:
Sift together dry ingredients. Combine egg, molasses, sugar, oil and lemon rind and add to dry ingredients alternately with the yogurt. Pour into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes in a 375 oven.

Ingredients:
1. 1 Cup plus 2 Tb water
2. 1 Tb margarine or butter, softened
3. 3 C All purpose or Gold Medal Better for Bread flour
4. 2 Tb Sugar
5. 1 Tb Dry milk
6. 1 ½ Tsp Salt
7. 1 ¾ Tsp regular active dry yeast
OR
1 ¾ Tsp bread machine yeast or quick-acting active dry yeast
Directions: When using in bread maker, place all ingredients in bread pan in the order listed. Select: White, Large, and desired cook time.
When making by hand:
1. Mix yeast and water.* Let stand at least two minutes or until yeast bubbles.
2. Add and mix margarine or butter.
3. Add and mix sugar, dry milk, and salt.
4. Gradually add and mix flour.
5. Form and place in lightly greased or sprayed bread pan.
6. Cover with warm towel and let rise till double size. **
7. Bake at 350 F for 30-40 min or until golden brown.
8. Brush with butter for extra flavor or before cooking brush with egg white.
* To make sure yeast doesn’t burn, water temperature should be the same as your finger.
** Quick rise method. Heat oven to 200 F. Turn oven off. Put bread uncovered into oven. Bread will usually rise twice as fast this way.

Bake at 350 F until golden brown (about 15-30 min depending on method). Makes about three dozen.
Ingredients:
¾ C Sugar
¾ C Shortening *
3 C Scalded milk
1 C Potato flakes/pearls
1 Tb Salt
Mix all these ingredients until lukewarm and slowly add the remaining ones:
4 Eggs, blended
1 TB SAF Instant Yeast
8 ½ C All purpose flour
*Butter or margarine can be substituted if you don’t have shortening
Mix well. Cover with towel, let rise on counter till doubled in size, or in fridge over night. Make one of the following, place on cookie sheet and let rise till doubled in size(about 1 -2 hours).
1. Basic Rolls – Divide dough into thirds. Roll out to ½ inch thick and butter half of dough. Fold it over and cut into 1 inch wide strips. Tie in knot for rolls or leave in strips for Hot dog buns.
2. Cheese Rolls – Roll out dough ½ inch thick and butter all of the dough. Place grated cheese and garlic salt on half of the dough. Fold over and cut into strips and tie in knots.
3. Cinnamon Rolls or Twists – Roll out dough ½ inch thick and butter all of the dough. Putt cinnamon and sugar on half of the dough. Fold in half and cut into 1 inch strips. Roll, tie in knots, or twist and leave long. Bake and Frost**.
4. Bread Sticks – Roll dough ¾ inch thick. Cut into 1 inch strips and twist. Dip in melted butter and sprinkle with garlic salt, parsley flakes and sesame seeds. (Or if you want parmesan cheese, Lawreys seasoning or whatever you like.)
5. Sweet Tooth Braid - Roll out dough ½ inch thick. Cut into three equal strips. Spread cream cheese down the middle of each strip. Top with your favorite pie filling. Braid fairly tight, like hair, making sure to pinch and tuck both ends. (This braid can also be done plain, with your favorite Nacho cheese, or with Italian mixed seasoning: 1Tsp Garlic, 1 Tsp Basil, 1 Tsp Oregano)
Cinnamon Honey Butter: 1 C Honey, 1 C Butter, 1 Tsp Cinnamon
**Holiday Orange Frosting: 1 lb (approx. 3 C) Powdered Sugar, 1 cube Butter, Orange rind (Optional), 1 ½ Tsp O.J. ¼ C Milk
Hint: Instead of using a knife or string to cut dough, use a rolling pizza cutter!
