From a four year old. This is how our conversation went this morning:
Kade: "Mom what happened to your voice?"
Mom: "I lost it" (I can only whisper at best)
Kade: "where did it go? You had better go look for it"
Mom: "I wish I could find it"
Kade: "Open your mouth and let me see how loose it is"
Mom: "ok"
Kade procedes to look in my mouth and say: "Yep it is pretty loosed it must have gone to your butt".
Mom: "My butt, are you sure?"
Kade: "Yes, and you will have to wait for it to come back and you have to tell the frogs to leave too"
I dont know where he came up with all that, but If I could have laughed out loud I would have!
Thursday came and my husband had an endoscopy done because of his GERD. After the procedure the doctor brings me in and gives me the report. The dr. said he did good, BUT, he found some scar tissue that he did a biopsy on. He thinks it might be Barrett's syndrome. Barrett's syndrome is pre-cancer cells that grow in the esophagus and will either become cancer or will remain benign and be a bother to him the rest of his life. I am just a little freaked out because we have had 2 people in our ward die within the last year or two of esophageal cancer and another ward member who has it and doesn't have and esophagus any more and is miserable. If he has cancer all I can think of is how am I going to support three kids through every thing he has to go through and provide for a family! Ohh ..kay... I am really scared!
I dont think I will be all that easy until we get the results back on tuesday!

How blessed we are to live during the administration and ministry of President Gordon B. Hinckley. Nauvoo , Illinois.
You were generals in the War in Heaven and one day when you are in the spirit world, you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear, "I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea," or "I helped built the pyramids'" or "I fought with Captain Moroni." And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say "Gordon B. Hinckley" a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven, and all in attendance will bow at your presence. You were held back six thousand years because you were the most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous.
4 to 5 Baking Potatoes
1/3 cup of butter
1/3 cup of all purpose flour
3 cups of milk
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 cup bacon bits, divided
2 green onions chopped
5 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 (8 ounce) container of sour cream
Directions:
1. Bake the potatoes in the oven or the microwave. (I prefer to bake them in the oven) After Potatoes are baked, peel and cut into cubes.
2. In a large sauce pan over medium heat, melt butter. Whisk in flour, stirring constantly till thick. Stir in milk a little at a time and cook about a minute. Stir in potatoes, salt and pepper, 1/4 cup bacon bits, 2 Tablespoons green onions and most of the cheese.(I did not add the cheese to the soup, I just served it on top of the soup) Cook until thoroughly heated. Stir in sour cream and heat through. Serve with remaining bacon, onion and cheese. Makes 6 servings.
The Past two weekends we have had the blessings of family being sealed! A week ago Kirts sister Amber and her husband Jon were sealed along with their little girl Grace! It was wonderful to have family come and be together.
This weekend we had the blessing of seeing the adoption of Baby H. to my Sister and BIL and then wittnes the sealing of all three children to them.
