Round and Round!
What has been going around has finally come around to us. We have been sick all weekend. I spent most of the morning at the Dr.'s office with Chantel and Kade. Chantel (and Kirt) had a cold that turned, really quick, into a sinus infection. Kade had a cold that has brought on his asthma and we have been up every hour or two for the past two nights doing breathing treatments and steam showers. Brock seems to only have a little cold (lucky) and if I could get some sleep maybe I could start to get over my sickness. So I am going to try to get everyone into bed and maybe I can get a little more sleep tonight!

-
Today after doing some deep cleaning of some window sills and having worked hard on trying to keep up with things around the house, I was day dreaming of being somewhere else! So I have put together a list of places I would like to go on vacation ! These are in no particular order just places I want to go.
1. Hawaii: Never been but I hear it is heaven.
2. Alaska: Dreaming of a cruise.
3. Grand Canyon: Yes, I have lived in Arizona since 1979 and have not yet been to the Grand Canyon.
4. Scottland, Ireland, and England are the only out of country places I would love to see.
5. Disney Land: I have only been once and I would love to take the kids and have fun.
6. Seattle Washington: I grew up there and would like to go visit and see the sites again.
7. Church History sites back east.
8. Utah/Idaho: I want my kids to see Temple Square and see family that we have there.
9. Colorado: Our family goes every summer to spend time with Grandma C.
10. Texas: I would like to go here and visit Kirt's sister Katrina and her family and visit Amanda and maybe see a longhorn game!:)

Citizen of the Year!
Just want to say congratulations to my WONDERFUL Mother in law for recieving the Citizen of the Year! You deserve that every year!! What a wonderful example you are to all of us. We love you very much!
Listen!!
When I ask you to listen to me, and you start to give advice you have not done what I asked.
When I ask you to listen to me and you begin to tell me why I shouldn't feel that way, you are trampling on my feelings.
When I ask you to listen to me and you feel you have to do something to solve my problem, you have failed me, strange as that may seem.
Listen. All I asked was that you listen, not talk or do - just hear me.
Advice is cheap; two cents will get you both Dear Abby and Billy Graham in the same newspaper.
And I can do for myself; I’m not helpless.
When you do something for me that I can and need to do for myself, you contribute to my fear and weakness.
But when you accept as a simple fact that I do feel what I feel, no matter how irrational, then I can quit trying to convince you and can get about the business of-understanding what's behind this irrational feeling.
And when that's clear, the answers are obvious and I don't need advice.
Irrational feelings make sense when we understand what’s behind them; perhaps that's why prayer and meditation works. So, please -Listen and just hear me. And if you want to talk, wait a minute for your turn; and I'll listen to you.

A naturally therapeutic person is one who, by a natural response to those in pain, empowers them to realize their own healing potential lies within them, and never in the one who is helping or giving advice.

Memory Lane Monday (on tuesday)
I Love looking at others blogs on monday and seeing the memories that they post. One of my favorite memories is from when I was about eight or nine. We lived in Tacoma Washington and in April they have a Daffodil Parade. I rember my dad and mom getting all of us dressed and ready to go to the parade. That was quite a feat with six kids and having to prepared for rain or sun shine. For the most part, I remember the sun shining for the parade. I loved everything about the parade, but thing I rember most is the smell of the daffodils and being excited when the Jr. Daffodils would come up and hand out flowers to all the kids along the parade route. I thought I was sooo cool to be able to come home with a handful of Daffodils. Maybe thats why the Daffodil is one of my favorite flowers.
